Bank of Baroda (Bank), one of India’s leading public sector banks under its “bob Earth” initiative aimed at promoting environmental sustainability, has launched its “bob Earth Green Drive” with a major tree plantation drive. From January 20 to January 26, 2025, the bank will be planting 10- fruit bearing saplings at each of its branches in Hyderabad Zone comprising Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The campaign began with a special tree plantation event at the National Institute for Micro- Small and Medium Enterprises (ni-msme) campus in Hyderabad, where the Bank’s team, led by Shri. Ritesh Kumar, General Manager and Zonal Head of Hyderabad Zone, planted multiple fruit-bearing saplings. This marks the start of a week- long series of tree plantation activities across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, with branches across the region participating in the drive.
The bob Earth initiative taken by the Bank is a step towards minimizing carbon footprint thus, contributing towards a better and a greener nation.
