Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, a top-ranking university in India, recently organized the Amrita Research & Innovation Symposium for Excellence (ARISE) 2024, reaffirming its commitment to pioneering solutions for global challenges. The four-day symposium featured prominent experts discussing key topics such as One Health, Ecosystem Restoration, Information Intelligence & Immersion, Disaster Resilience, Empowered Organizational Systems, Value-Based Education & Indic Studies, Ubiquitous Artificial Intelligence, and inclusivity.
Distinguished guests, including Dr. Venu Govindaraju from the University at Buffalo, USA, and Dr. Akhilesh Gupta from the Science and Engineering Research Board, Govt. of India, graced the occasion with their insights. The symposium’s keynote sessions, led by industry leaders like Dr. Shankar Venugopal, Dr. Ranjith Krishna Pai, and Dr. Anand Madanagopal, addressed pressing subjects, setting the stage for a collaborative exchange of ideas.
The Chancellor of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, delivered a keynote emphasizing the intrinsic potential within each individual. Highlighting the importance of education in unlocking this potential and fostering a deep connection with nature, her words resonated throughout the symposium.
Dr. Venu Govindaraju, in his address, stressed the significance of collaborative research in addressing grand challenges and urged responsible harnessing of the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The symposium, titled ARISE 2024, aimed to be a crucible for inspired exchanges, innovation, and well-being.
The symposium also featured recognition for 24 researchers from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, acknowledged as among the top 2% scientists globally, during the Amrita Innovation & Research Awards ceremony. The event showcased diverse activities, including workshops, exhibitions, poster sessions, cultural programs, and engaging panel discussions, making it a platform for holistic knowledge exchange.
