AHPS Commemorated Nutrition Day
Academic Heights Public School, part of the award-winning secondary school chain, observed National Nutrition Week, which ran from September 1st to September 7th. The theme for this year was “Celebrate A World of Flavors.” The goal of this week was to raise awareness among students about the importance of healthy eating habits and proper nutrition in maintaining a healthy lifestyle while also celebrating the delectable flavours of food.
AHPS organised food-related games and activities to educate children on the importance of adequate nutrition in line with the theme, with the goal of supporting their learners’ overall development, where health and nutrition play a key role.
Mr. Ajay Gupta, CEO and Founder of AHPS, commented on Nutrition Day, saying, “When I think about health, what comes to mind is the popular saying: Health is Wealth.” Teaching our students the importance of health includes teaching them the importance of nutrition. I understand that nutrition is a broad concept. At the same time, it is a difficult concept for young minds to grasp. However, it is critical that children understand healthy eating habits and what constitutes healthy eating. Because Nutrition Week was approaching, our schools prepared well in advance. There were so many interesting activities planned that there was no way my AHPS students would not choose nutrient-rich foods and improve their academic outcomes!”
Nutrition Week was no exception to the country’s largest secondary school network’s tradition of producing outstanding and enjoyable events. AHPS planned fun events for the kids this year, such as trips to the grocery store or the fruit stand. Furthermore, the school held a cuisine tasting and food sorting event. In addition, the school hosted a healthy food fancy dress competition. The main attraction for the week was a live vegetable and food market.
