Design Democracy 2024: inauguration of a new creative era in Hyderabad with a resultant substantial design festival that brings the best in design, art, and innovation under one roof. Happening between October 4th to 7th in HITEX, Halls 1 and 3, it promises to transform the city into a dynamic hub of creative exploration.
This show was inaugurated by celebrities like Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary for ITE&C, and industries such as Mr. Pullela Gopichand, the Chief Coach of the Indian Badminton Team. The show features a variety of leadership, designing, and other artists on its stage. Special guests of the likes of philanthropist Pinky Reddy, Mr. Gummi Ram Reddy of ARK Group, and many more added this event to make it a memorable initiation for the festival.
Design Democracy’s founders, Pallika Sreewastav, Shailja Patwari, and Arjun Rathi, join curator Supraja Rao and Brand Director Mansi Negi presenting groundbreaking design concepts from lighting to furniture in an ‘eclectic melting pot’ of creative talent for the show attendees.
It will be an eye-opener for Hyderabad about its rich design heritage in a boundary-pushing modern take. “Our idea is to create a space where creative collaboration thrives,” says co-founder Pallika Sreewastav, echoing the spirit of inclusivity and growth.
From the exclusive art pieces and sustainable furniture collections by leading brands to curated exhibitions at the Museum of Telangana, which narrate innovative use of brick, there is something for every design enthusiast.
Empowering the Future of Design
The flagship program, Design Democracy Ventures, is investing in and mentoring young product designers, besides letting the festival highlight known creators, it also nurtures the young minds of the industry. Mrinalini Ghadiok and Sneha Ullal Goel – two design icons – will be mentoring these young talents.
Panel Discussions and Keynotes
Besides the exhibitions, several panel discussions are being held under Design Democracy 2024. The panels scheduled for today are:
