Tourism Minister Shri P.A. Mohamed Riyas highlighted the state’s focus on introducing innovative travel products like heli-tourism and the sea plane initiative, making Kerala’s destinations more accessible. These projects aim to complement Kerala’s iconic attractions such as beaches, hill stations, houseboats, and backwaters, promising a well-rounded experience for visitors.
Shri Biju K, Secretary of Kerala Tourism, emphasized how improved infrastructure and these new ventures would elevate Kerala’s appeal. The campaign underscores the state’s commitment to offering unique experiences tailored for families and group travelers.
Kerala Cultural Festivities Await Visitors
Adding vibrancy to the summer itinerary are cultural and literary events.
- Nishagandhi Dance Festival (Feb 15-21): Held at the Kanakakkunnu Palace in Thiruvananthapuram, this festival will showcase classical dance forms such as Mohiniyattam, Kathak, Kuchipudi, Bharatanatyam, and Manipuri.
- Kerala Literature Festival (Jan 23-26): Hosted on Kozhikode Beach, this prestigious event brings together over 400 speakers from 12+ countries, including writers, artists, and activists, creating a platform for cultural exchange.
Destination Weddings and MICE Hub - Kerala’s picturesque landscapes and world-class amenities make it a prime location for destination weddings and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) events. Smt. Sikha Surendran, Director of Kerala Tourism, noted the state’s ability to blend tradition with modernity, drawing couples and corporates for memorable events.
